Yesterday we hiked to the Kaisertempel, the Italian restaurant perched on the top of our Eppstein mountain. The weather was gorgeous and so were the views. While waiting for our pasta to arrive, Elizabeth, Michael, and I walked to the Mendelssohn monument in honor of the composer's spending ten years off and on in Eppstein. We topped off our meal with our favorite dessert, panne cotta, and the way down the mountain went quite a bit faster than the way up!
