Brothers

Michael and Patrick on their way to school
For the first time in EIGHT years, two children are in the same school again, the last year ever. Michael and Patrick's Eppstein school runs grades 5-9; next year, Patrick will have to take a bus or train to the Oberstufe (grades 10-12). Both seem to enjoy seeing each other over the course of the school day: some days Patrick takes extra money to buy Michael a chocolate croissant when he buys his; their "groups" cross at the school's mini-soccer field; Michael likes it when older students ask if he's "Googlemann's" brother. Lunch time conversation has been more lively as Michael and Patrick swap stories about various teachers (Patrick: "What? Frau K sings with you in English?! She never did that with us!). Nearly every day they have at least one teacher in common.

Nick continues taking his 6:55 a.m. bus to Königstein, where he attends the humanistic Gymnasium (grades 5-12). This week he had an interview at HP for a work-study scholarship, and next week he has one at BASF. Keep your fingers crossed!
